MAY 2013
Harrods Magazine May 2013
Thanks to our most creative fashion designers, summer has arrived in a whirlwind of enchanting flowers. Monique Lhuillier has strewn a navy lace gown with filigree leaves; Valentino’s pale blush chiffon is decorated with feathery dandelion clocks; Oscar de la Renta has created a confection of tissue-fine organza petals; and at Dolce & Gabbana, broad deckchair stripes have been appliquéd with miniature blossoms.

Altogether more conceptual – but just as pretty – Clare Waight Keller’s new collection for Chloé has redefined the Parisian fashion house for a new generation of Left-Bank boho girls. Meanwhile, a Western interpretation of Eastern styles appeared on the international menswear catwalks, with geometric patterns and high-buttoning collars pitched against 1930s double-breasted suits.

Alongside this issue's light, bright fashion, there is a make-up masterclass in flawless skins, Eastern-inspired fragrances and details of in-store beauty events. Plus there’s the best summer technology, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new Jubilee timepiece collection, and tangy goat's cheese recipes.
